Personal ApproachIntegrative Counselling Psychology and PsychotherapyHow I work: My approach involves viewing the psychotherapeutic relationship as a co-created process between myself and my client. This allows for the interplay of mutual influence between myself and my client to exist, be acknowleged and worked with in the therapeutic relationship whilst encouraging a relational way of being in the therapeutic space. My model of integration incorporates developmental psychology and holds the view that it is our childhood experiences and relationships with signifcant others that mould us into the individuals we become. This greatly influences how we perceive ourselves, others; the way we view the world and how we relate to others and with ourselves. Through therapy you will be able to explore 'your world' and increase your awarenss of yourself, how you relate to others and enlighten you regarding how your unique life experience has shaped who you are. This awareness is important and necessary so that you feel confident in knowing yourself and feeling secure in the choices and changes you make in your life. I also include techniques from a range of psychological perspectives in order to tailor therapy to meet the needs of each client. Some perspectives of psychology/psychotherapy I use: -Humanistic (Person-centred) -Transpersonal -Psychodynamic -Psychoanalytic -Developmental -Trauma perspectives -Intersubjectivity - Energy Psychotherapy FAQ Do many people attend psychotherapy?
